The Clean Plant Center (CPC) at the Regional Station Mukteshwar is a specialized high-altitude facility focused on the rapid multiplication and distribution of virus-indexed temperate fruit plants. Situated in the unique agro-climatic conditions of Uttarakhand, the center serves as a critical quarantine and propagation hub, safeguarding against the spread of invasive plant pathogens. By equipping local farmers and orchardists with certified, disease-free planting materials, CPC Mukteshwar significantly enhances crop resilience, ensures higher productivity, and promotes the sustainable expansion of the horticulture industry across the region.

Genetic Improvement
Genetic improvement of temperate horticultural crops for yield, maturity, quality, resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses through conventional breeding methods and biotechnological tools.
Nursery Management
Standardization of nursery management and high-tech propagation techniques of temperate horticultural crops.
Production Technologies
To device efficient and cost-effective production technologies and cropping systems for increasing productivity and improving quality of temperate horticultural crops.
Integrated Management
To develop eco-friendly integrated diseases/pest management modules and diagnostics.
Post-Harvest Value Addition
Post-harvest value addition, product diversification and waste utilization for increasing availability and returns.
